Nutella and Strawberry Cake

So, it's Valentine's month, actually I was thinking of making a menu of many romantic recipes for the day of LOVE, may be I will need some encouraging from all of you ;)
Love is one of the most important things in our life, not only love between a man and a women, but also the family love, the friends, our love to our country or nature and all beautiful things, can you imagine life without love? Really bad isn't it? These recipes that I will try to post here won't be only for Valentine's day, but also to say "I love you" to whom you love, a simple way to tell them how much you appreciate them.
Today's recipe is a stuffed cake, decorated with chocolate and strawberries, I will talk about cakes later and give you tips for making cakes, but today I will give you a simple choice (cake mix) to make it simply and quickly when you don't have time to make it from scratch. Who doesn't love Nutella? Who doesn't love chocolate specially with strawberry? Let's find out how to make it.
Tips:
1- You can use any type chocolate or chocolate cream your like.
2- For the cake mix, choose your favorite and follow the instructions and use the ingredients that are written on the package.
3- For better result if you don't serve the cake directly and keep it in the fridge, use a food torch on the cake to give the chocolate better taste (if available), or take the cake out of the fridge couple minutes before serving.

Ingredients:
1 baked cake (with your best recipe or cake mix)
2 cup whipped cream with sugar
1 cup grapes, halved
1/4 cup crushed hazelnuts and almonds
1 big Nutella, in a warm water bath
10 strawberries
1/2 warm strawberry flavored gelatin (1/2 cup boiled water mixed with 1 tbsp flavored gelatin powder)

Directions:
1- After letting the cake to cool, cut it into two layers, and begin with the bottom layer.

2- Sprinkle half of the gelatin mix on the bottom layer evenly with a spoon, then spread half the sweetened whipped cream on it, and sprinkle nuts and grapes.

3- Prepare the top layer with the rest of flavored gelatin.

4- Spread the rest of cream.

5- Place back the top layer carefully on the bottom layer and start spreading Nutella on it with a plastic spatula or special tool.

6- Place strawberries on top the way you like, and.. Bon Apetit :)

Personally I like to be taken out since I cook 95% of all our meals. We are thinking of getting a heart shaped pizza from the best pizza joint in our town this year.

looks absolutely amazing! thanks for sharing. wonder what exactly is strawberry galetin mix that you mean? is it applied in powder or jelly form?

Food Lover said...

Thanks Maria I'm glad you like it, I meant strawberry jelly powder that you put in hot water and mix, then if you let it cool it would be a strawberry jelly :)
