Brazilian Dessert "Brigadeiro"

Brigadeiro is a simple chocolate bonbon which is a very popular candy in Brazil, it is usually served at birthday parties, kids party and can also be found at any kind of party. This candy is made by mixing sweetened condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder together. The mixture is then heated in a pan on the stove or in a microwave oven to obtain a smooth, sticky texture. It usually rolled into balls which are covered in granulated chocolate. It can also be consumed unrolled, with a spoon or used as a topping or filling for cakes, brownies and other pastries.
Recipe Tips:
1- You have to let the chocolate mix cool very well at room temperature, because if it's warm it will be too mushy and sticky to shape in balls.
2- If you don't like much sugar in desserts you can use unsweetened cocoa powder.

Recipe serves: Depends on shaping 20 balls approx.
Prep. time: 2 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Cooling time: 1 to 2 hours

Ingredients
one 395g can condensed milk
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp butter
150 gm granulated chocolate

Directions:

1- Mix the condensed milk with the cocoa powder and butter in a sauce pan over medium heat.

2- Stir and let the mix boil.

3- Stir and let it thickened till you can see the bottom of the pan while stirring.

4- Place the mix in a bowl and let cool completely.

5- Grease your hands with butter and start to shape it by taking a tablespoon each time and shape a small ball, and then cover with the granulated chocolate.

6- Place in mini cupcake papers and chill or serve right away... Bon Apetit :)

I would love to like that bowl! It's nice that you can make these in the microwave too.

Sure you can use microwave instead of the stove.
